Thank you for registering your child(ren) for the K-8 Expanded Learning Virtual Summer Program. Although the program does not officially begin until June 15th, students that have not completed a Diagnostic Assessment in the iReady program will need to complete the assessment by June 11th. Please have your child(ren) log into their iReady account on Monday, June 1st to check if a Diagnostic assessment needs to be completed. If your child(ren) does not have a Diagnostic appear on their account, then they have already completed it during the school year and do not need to log back in until June 15th.

If your child(ren) does not have a diagnostic in their account, please follow the directions below for them to complete it before June 11th.

The Reading and Math Diagnostic window for students to complete are June 1st to June 11th. The Diagnostic is not timed, please see the chart below for guidance on the time it will take your child(ren) to complete. Please allow your child(ren) multiple days to complete the Diagnostic to ensure they are focused and completed to the best of their ability.

The Diagnostic is used to create a Learning Path for your child(ren) on their academic level. Because the Diagnostic is working to guide this learning path, it is predicted your child(ren) will only answer 50% correctly. This is OK and is what is expected. Please do not assist your child(ren) in answering the questions as your assistance could create a learning path that is too difficult for your child(ren). The Diagnostic will only be used to create the Learning Path that they will work through over the summer program. The data will not be used for a grade or any other way by your child(ren)s’ school or teachers.

Steps for Families to Prepare for Summer Program:

  • Log into iReady account. Check for a Diagnostic
    • If there is not a Diagnostic, log back in on June 15th to begin Summer Program.
    • If there is a Diagnostic follow steps below.
  • Log into Diagnostic and begin Reading Diagnostic first. Follow the time guidelines below for completion.
  • Once your child(ren) completes the Reading Diagnostic, log in and complete the Math Diagnostic following the same time guidelines.
  • The dates and time of day your child(ren) works in the Diagnostic are flexible to your home schedule. Students are only asked to have both Diagnostics completed by end of day June 11th.
  • After both Diagnostics are completed you will not need to log back in until June 15th. The summer program teacher will share with you the Diagnostic results.
  • Your child(ren) will begin their iReady Learning Path on June 15th. Please make sure your child(ren) logs into iReady everyday for 15 minutes of Reading and 15 minutes of Math Monday-Thursday beginning June 15th.
