    Three Oaks Middle School Uniform Dress Code 2026-2027

  • The Three Oaks Middle School dress code supports a safe, respectful, and distraction-free learning environment. Students are expected to arrive dressed appropriately and in compliance with the school uniform policy each day. Compliance is the responsibility of both students AND parents/guardians. The 2026-2027 TOMS Dress Code Policy was revised and approved by the Dress Code Committee.

  • General Expectations

  • ● Clothing must fit appropriately, be in good repair, and fully cover undergarments at all times.

  • ● Clothing may not be excessively tight, sheer, short, or revealing, including cleavage underarms, midriff, undergarments, or exposed skin around the waistband.

  • ● Administration reserves the right to determine whether clothing or appearance is inappropriate, distracting, too tight, or too short.

  • Shirts

  • ● TOMS OFFICIAL spirit t-shirts and TOMS collared shirts may be worn daily and may remain untucked.

  • ● All other shirts must be solid-color polo/golf-style shirts with collars and must remain tucked in.

  • ● No stripes, large logos (5” by 5”), zippers, or snaps.

  • ● Undershirts must be solid in color.

  •  Bottoms

  • Approved colors: Navy, Khaki/Tan, Gray, or Black

  • ● Pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, and capris must be worn at the waist and fit appropriately.

  • ●  Shorts, skirts, and skorts must be of modest fit. Hem must extend two inches beyond fingertips, 
    (5” to 7”) inseam and maintain that length while walking. No slits above the knee.

  • ● No blue jeans, leggings, yoga pants, sweatpants, athletic pants/shorts, or excessively tight
    clothing.

  • ●  Blue jeans are only permitted on approved dress-down days and may not contain holes, rips, 
    tears, or prints.

                                         Outerwear

  • ● No hoodies, pullover sweaters, or jean jackets. Only jackets with a zipper are allowed.

  • ● Jackets must be worn open during the school day and over a dress-code-compliant shirt.

  • ● Jackets may only be zipped while students are outdoors when temperatures are 60 degrees or below.

  • ● Outerwear must NOT display any offensive language and/or inappropriate names, logos, and insignia.

  • Footwear

  • ● Closed-toe shoes are required at all times.

  • ● Crocs, slides, flip-flops, slippers, sandals, and open-back shoes are not permitted.

  • ● No platform shoes, boots, or heels larger than 2 inches may be worn.

  • Accessories & Appearance

  • ● Clothing, accessories, symbols, or grooming that are disruptive, unsafe, gang-related, or promote drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or illegal activity are prohibited.

  • ● Hats, bandanas, ski masks, and sunglasses are not permitted unless approved by administration.

  • ● Tattoos must be covered.

    ● Only nose studs are permitted; other facial jewelry must be removed during the school day.

  • Personal Care Items

  • Due to health concerns, cologne, perfume, body spray, and scented spray hand sanitizers are not permitted on campus.
